The Good Wine Shop is a growing and ambitious company, with four shops – in Chiswick, Kew, Richmond and Teddington in south west London, and multiple industry awards including Decanter Organic & Biodynamic Specialist Retailer 2022, Best London Neighborhood Wine Shop 2020 (Richmond) and Best London Wine Shop 2019 (Kew).

The Good Wine Shop is on the Home Office accredited list of Sponsors License Holders. Successful candidates who require visa sponsorship must meet all relevant immigration rules and regulations.

We are now looking for highly motivated Store Management caliber individuals with a demonstrable passion for wine to join our team. You will have the chance to be involved in many aspects of the wine industry including sales, events, hospitality and stock management.

We are looking for the following attributes or experience:

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Strong ability to build rapport with customers and advise on wine, spirits and specialist beer purchases at all levels.

Experience in the running of a wine store, restaurant or bar with a track record of delivering results.

Organized and able to manage your time in order to focus on both short-term priorities as well as longer term ambitions.

A sales instinct and commercial awareness to help grow retail sales and private client fine wine opportunities.

A high level of integrity, reliability and trustworthiness together with a positive, driven and self-motivating attitude.

 Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail as well as being energetic and physically fit.

A good degree of common sense, as well as the ability to problem solve and be flexible where required.

· Experience of organising, hosting and marketing a diverse range of in-store tasting events.

· A smart, professional image and attitude coupled with a warm, friendly manner and a sense of humour.

You should also have:

A demonstrable passion for and good knowledge of wine, spirits & craft beer (minimum WSET Level 2 or similar experience)

Confidence working with a range of both unique and iconic producers from around the world

· Excellent numeracy, with good excel and written communication skills.

Good IT and technology skills

· A willingness to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis.

A passion for developing, mentoring and encouraging team members to grow within the business.

· Hospitality experience would be beneficial for our drink-in offering.

We have a strong business model and systems and are looking for individuals who can help grow our stores within that framework and enhance it with the enthusiasm, professionalism and drive which they will bring.

· We offer a highly competitive salary + bonus package based on your experience for 45hrs per week over five days (incl. paid breaks)
